Transport
Bitez is served by the new airport Milas-Bodrum, only 45 km away. And there is also Izmir or Dalaman, both three and a half hours in a bus.Be aware that Turkey has a very good national coach network which links Bodrum to all major cities and towns. Regular public transport (called 'Dolmush') connects Bitez to Bodrum.
A daily car ferry also runs daily between Bodrum and the Greek island of Cos.
Weather
Both the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts have a typical Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers, with temperature often rising above 30ºC (86ºF) in July and August. Showers are unlikely in the summer months, but the rainfall is quite high in winter
